The essentials

The most asked questions

How long is my product covered?

It depends on the range and is shown on each product page, under Warranty & Documents in its specifications: 2 years for cases, 2 or 3 years for cooling, monitors and Mini PCs, and 5 to 10 years for power supplies.

It starts from the purchase date shown on your invoice.

Who do I contact if something fails?

First, the retailer you bought the product from, with your invoice: they arrange the diagnosis and the return. M.RED supports them throughout the process.

If you run into difficulty, write to us using the contact form and select the subject “After-sales / Warranty”.

Will my graphics card fit in the case?

Warranty and after-sales

A fault, a warranty question

How long your product is covered, who to contact, what to have ready.

Legal guarantee, commercial warranty: what’s the difference?

The legal guarantee of conformity is owed by the seller: two years in the European Union, whatever the product. M.RED’s commercial warranty comes on top of it, for the period shown on the product page. One does not replace the other; they add up.

What should I have ready before contacting after-sales support?

Your invoice, the product reference (shown on its product page and on its packaging), a precise description of the problem and, if possible, a photo or a short video. For a component, also state the build it is installed in: it saves an exchange.

Can I get a spare part?

Yes, on request, for certain products: fan, screws, cable, dust filter… Write to us with the product reference and the part you need, subject “Product question”.

How quickly do you reply?

We reply within 24 working hours to messages sent through the contact form.

What to compare before you buy

All these dimensions are listed on each product page, under Specifications.

Everything has to fit inside

Compare your graphics card's length with the maximum graphics card length, your air cooler's height with the maximum cooler height, and your motherboard's form factor with the supported form factors, from Mini-ITX to E-ATX depending on the model.

For a liquid cooler, the product page gives the supported radiator size position by position: front, top, rear.

Choosing and compatibility

Compatibility: your questions

Every product page gives the relevant dimensions and compatibilities. Here’s where to find them.

Will my graphics card fit in the case?

Compare its length with the maximum graphics card length given on the case's product page. If you mount it vertically, also check the length and thickness allowed in that position: they are smaller.

Which air cooler or liquid cooler can I install?

The case's product page gives the maximum CPU cooler height and, position by position (front, top, rear…), the radiator size supported: 240 mm, 360 mm, etc. Also check the clearance between the radiator and the motherboard, given on the same page.

Is my processor compatible with this cooler?

The supported sockets are listed on the page of each air cooler and liquid cooler: depending on the model, Intel LGA1700, 1200, 115x and AMD AM5, AM4. If yours isn’t listed, write to us before buying.

Which motherboard form factor should I choose for my case?

The supported form factors are listed on the case’s product page: from Mini-ITX to E-ATX depending on the model. A board smaller than the maximum fits without any trouble.

What power supply wattage do I need?

Start from the wattage recommended by your graphics card manufacturer, the component that draws the most, and leave headroom for peaks and future upgrades. The M.RED range goes from 500 to 1,300 W.

Can my power supply connect a recent graphics card?

Recent cards use the 12V-2x6 connector (16 pins). Power supplies compliant with the ATX 3.1standard, such as those in the MRR range, provide it directly: no adapter needed.

What does “80 PLUS Gold” mean?

It's an efficiency certification : the share of the power drawn from the mains that actually reaches the components, the rest being lost as heat. From least to most efficient: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum. The certification of each power supply is shown on its product page.

Assembly and lighting

Build, connect, light it up

Documentation, ARGB lighting and a few rules that avoid unpleasant surprises.

Where can I find the datasheet for my product?

On the product page: the Datasheet button downloads a two-page PDF, in your language, with all its specifications. For assembly instructions, write to us with the product reference.

How do I sync ARGB lighting?

Plug the ARGB cable into the 3-pin 5 V ARGB header on your motherboard, then control the lighting from its software: ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion… Each product's compatibility is listed on its product page.

Can I plug an ARGB product into an RGB 12 V header?

No. RGB 12 V (4-pin) and ARGB 5 V (3-pin) connectors are not compatible: plugging ARGB lighting into a 12 V header can destroy its LEDs. Check the marking on the motherboard before connecting.

Is there M.RED software for lighting?

Nova by M.RED is coming soon. In the meantime, lighting is controlled from your motherboard's software.

Can I reuse the modular cables from another power supply?

No. With power supplies, the pinout of modular cables differs from one manufacturer to another, and sometimes from one range to another. Only use the cables supplied with your power supply: a cable from another unit can damage your components.

Where should I mount my watercooling radiator?

At the front or on the top of the case. Just one rule to follow: the pump must not be the highest point in the loop, otherwise air builds up in it and it becomes noisy.

Which memory and which SSD should you choose for a Mini PC?
