Labo Fnac: the M.RED CBT030-03 PC, a war machine for 4K

Published on June 16, 2025 · 2 min read

Core Ultra 7 265K, GeForce RTX 5080, 32 GB of DDR5 and a 2 TB SSD: one of the first towers received by the Labo Fnac with the latest Intel and NVIDIA generations. Five stars out of five.

The new generation, first

In the space of a few months, Intel and NVIDIA renewed everything: the Core Ultra 200 series processors at the end of 2024, the GeForce RTX 50 and their DLSS 4 at the start of 2025. The CBT030-03 brings the two together, and the Fnac Labo counts it among the very first towers of this generation to pass through its test bench.

On the programme: a Core Ultra 7 265K with twenty cores, up to 5.5 GHz, a GeForce RTX 5080 with 16 GB of GDDR7, 32 GB of DDR5-5600 and a 2 TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD. All cooled by a 240 mm all-in-one watercooler and powered by an M.RED 1,050 W, modular, 80 PLUS Gold, to the ATX 3.1 standard.

Three uses, one tower

The Labo praises its versatility. Here’s what that covers.

More than 60 frames per second

That’s the promise of an RTX 5080, and the Labo confirms it: games run at very high quality beyond 60 frames per second on a 4K display. DLSS 4 and Reflex 2 do the rest.

The Labo, in two sentences

  • lets you play at very high quality, at more than 60 frames per second, on 4K displays

  • Impossible to fault, this tower obviously stands out for its all-round versatility.

The price of excellence

The review notes a single weak point, and it isn't a technical one: the configuration is deemed very expensive. That's the price of an RTX 5080 and a Core Ultra 7, which is only fully justified on a 4K screen or for heavy applications.
